Lee’s Cyclery was founded in 1963 with the mission of providing excellent quality bicycles and service to the Fort Collins community. Today we carry on this tradition with our customer focused approach.
First and foremost, our mission is to help each rider get the most out of his or her bike. We call this approach the right bike approach. Our staff will listen to find out how you intend to ride your bike. We will also take into consideration any anatomical issues such as back pain or knee problems in terms of selecting bikes for you to ride. Then we will take the time to fit the bike to you (and not you to the bike). Once the fit is complete it is up to you decide which bike feels the most comfortable. We’ll ask you lot’s of questions to guide you through this process.
Our service and repair department is equally committed to helping your ride the safest, fastest, most mechanically sound bike possible. When you bring your bike in for service, one of our mechanics will go through the bike to assess what needs to be done to get your bike in top riding condition. We go through a 26 point inspection which includes fully inspecting wheels, derailleurs, braking system, bearings, forks, as well as lubricating the drive train, cables, and pedals and ensuring all bolts tightened to factory specifications. We are focused on ensuring you have the best experience at Lee’s whether you are a novice rider or a pro.
It has now been 50 years since the seeds were planted in 1963 for what is now Lee’s Cyclery. Archie Solsky has now owned the business for around 30 years. Archie has expanded and upgraded the business beyond my wildest dreams, and was recently named one of the top 100 bicycle retailers in the nation.
